Bill currently serves as the Vice President for Clinical and Translational Research at the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) in Columbus, Ohio, and as Director of the NCH Center for Clinical and Translational Research. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University and serve as the Co-PI for the OSU Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences (CCTS).
For the past 20 years, Bill’s career focused on basic, clinical, and translational research to improve our understanding of the molecular regulation of podocyte injury during nephrotic syndrome, and to develop more targeted and effective novel treatments for childhood nephrotic syndrome. His work led to publications in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, FASEB, the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, as well as several subspecialty journals.
He previously served as both a Pediatric Nephrology Division Director and Fellowship Program Director.
