Carla Paonessa is a principal benefactor of the Mayo Clinic. She Chairs the Chicago Leadership Council and members the Leadership Council of Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She is Chair Emeritus of the LeaderShape Board of Trustees, a 25+ year old organization that had trained close to 100k young people how to lead with integrity and a sense of possibility. Larry Page, co-founder of Google, is a Michigan LeaderShape graduate. Sal Kahn, founder of the Kahn Academy, is an MIT LeaderShape graduate, to name a few.
Prior to retirement, Carla was a Managing Partner of Change Management for Accenture, the $75b global consulting company with 380k employees and clients in 120 countries. Change Management worked in integrated teams to make sure the people “hugged” the change rather than “resisted” it. During her 25-year career there she held several positions, including global responsibilities working with the CEO and the Executive Team during their successful IPO in 2001.
